A Leaf is Paul McCartney´s second composition in the classical idiom. Completed in 1994, ´A Leaf´ was conceived for the intimate resources of a solo piano. McCartney gratefully acknowledges the invaluable contribution of John Fraser in bringing this work to fruition. Its seven linked movements are for the most part reflective in character, expanding into bravura passages which the composer calls the ´moutain peaks´ of the work. The climax of the fast fifth movement is the tallest of these peaks and an alternative version is provided for those pianists not yet ready to scale its heights.
Written in collaboration with composer Carl Davis, Liverpool Oratorio displays the hallmarks of McCartney´s melodic genius. The text draws on the events of McCartney´s early life in Liverpool, inspiring an expansive work which poignantly and vividly articulates the hopes, joys and crises of life in the modern world.

This first book in a series on the Beatles, The Beatles Trivia Book: The Early Years, Volume 1, covers the time of their pre-teen and teenage years: before they became famous as the Beatles we now know. It covers the four Beatles in their early days of performing throughout England, Scotland, and Germany. In addition, there are a dozens of trivia questions concerning family names, dates, places, relationships, etc. The books in this series are broken down into various themes or sections related to the lives and experiences of the Beatles. All trivia questions have multiple choice options for the correct answers, and all answers can be found at the end of each section or chapter. The questions range from easy to medium to difficult. About half of the several hundred questions in this book are for new Beatles fans and the average Beatles devotees from the past. The other half are made deliberately more challenging for even the hardcore Beatles enthusiasts who already know a great deal about the group.
